This is a rare chance to hear Bach’s D Major Cello Suite played on the 5-string piccolo cello, for which it was originally written! In addition to Rebecca’s performance, she will speak about interpreting Bach Suites through an 18th-century performance practice lens. Designed for both cellists and general music-lovers alike, the presentation offers an accessible introduction to Baroque performance concepts. 

Rebecca is the Assistant Professor of Viola da Gamba and Baroque Cello at Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music, and a cellist with both Apollo's Fire Baroque Orchestra and Les Délices.
