March 6, Friday, 7:30 PM: i Cellisti!

Please join us for our popular annual cello ensemble extravaganza and fundraiser—i Cellisti!   This year’s program features cellist Kyle Price, who recently joined the Cavani Quartet, Artistic Ambassadors at The Music Settlement. Kyle will perform the George Crumb Solo Sonata as well as a set of cello quartet arrangements with members of the CCS.

Numerous cellists of Greater Cleveland will join forces presenting a grand finale like no other -- a surround-sound cello choir performance of Terry Riley's In C, cited as the very first minimalist composition. Written in 1964 for unspecified instruments and an indefinite number of performers, the CCS is spreading its wings to explore an iconoclastic piece of the mid-20th century.
This truly unique concert is not to be missed.  And remember, all proceeds from ticket sales provide the funds for the CCS Scholarships.
